Our Story

Welcome to Our Origin Story!

 

We are Soogia Foods and we are so excited to share our food with you and, as we say every chance we get, food is more than just food.

​

During the pandemic, when we all suffered through a time of isolation and fear, Soogia1 found an outlet for her voice on TikTok and connected with so many amazing and encouraging people. This community inspired Soogia1 to share her story, life, culture, thoughts, humor, and love through food. Now, several years on, Soogia1 is sharing the foods themselves through Soogia Foods.

Because our story is constantly changing and evolving, incorporating our experiences as we live and grow in the amazingly diverse culture of Los Angeles California, our food can’t be described with any one word or label. We are the children of Korean immigrants, who brought their Korean flavors to Los Angeles along with their little girl and big plans. But we grew up surrounded by neighbors and friends from all over the world: Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, German, Armenian, and many, many more. And as our world grows smaller thanks to technology, our story has been touched by even more cultural influences. So, even though our foods clearly show their Korean origin, they are truly a product of our multicultural journey.

Our mission is to build community by sharing our food, our journey with you and each product we make embodies the cultures that have influenced us, made us who we are. And, they are freaking delicious.
